To manufacture this shelving, mild steel is washed and coated with a Zinc substrate which is then coated with a silver grey polyester powder resin that is hard baked to form a hard wearing level of protection designed to fight rust for up to 15 years. This treatment is applied to both shelves and posts to offer all-round protection that lasts up to 5 times longer than nylon coating.
Fully tested 10 Year Antibacterial Coating
Samples of the polyester powder coating were submitted to SGS Laboratories, one of the world's leading chemical testing laboratories for analysis who confirmed that the coating applied to Perma Plus has the effect of anti-bacteria. Shelving with this coating will not support bacterial growth, killing 98% of all germs within 2 to 3 hours greatly reducing the risk of contamination.
Hygienic Open Wire Design
The open wire design of Perma Plus provides for improved air circulation particularly desirable when storing food products in cold rooms and ambient defrost storage areas. Food products can be stored at more controlled temperatures and allowed to defrost at an evenly spread rate.
Exceptional Strength & Flexibility
Perma Plus offers an exceptional strength to weight ratio with a shelf loading of 360kg's on spans up to 1220mm long and 300kg's per shelf on spans over 1220m. All units can be fitted with a range of wheels to aid stock movement and make cleaning easier.
